Chairman’s message:

The Insurance Club of Pittsburgh presents the 84th I-Day at the Pittsburgh Hilton on Thursday April 22, 2010. Rich in history and tradition, this year's program promises to be an excellent event that you must attend. Our theme, Insurance-Industry of Champions is most appropriate. We'll acknowledge the successes of our sports teams, The Pittsburgh Pirates, The Pittsburgh Steelers and The Pittsburgh Penguins. The many hard working volunteer members of our committees have been planning to deliver an exciting program packed with fun and value for each participant.

We will commence with a continental breakfast. Over 80 Exhibitors will be on hand to share valuable information with all who attend. Three continuing education classes are scheduled. Attendees can earn CE credits to comply with licensure requirements as prescribed by the PA Insurance Department.

Our luncheon speaker will be Travis Williams, who is the Senior Vice President, Business Affairs/General Counsel for the Pittsburgh Penguins. A graduate of Penn State University and Duquesne Law School, Travis worked for Reed Smith in their Business & Finance department where he focused on mergers & acquisitions, financing and other general corporate matters for a number of financial services and investment management clients. Travis also had a robust sports law practice where he represented professional sports franchises, regional sports networks and other related businesses in a variety of matters, including telecast rights, broadcast rights, naming and other sponsorship rights agreements. In May 2008, Travis accepted his current position with the Penguins. In addition to his legal responsibilities, Travis oversees the new arena project and other development projects for the franchise. Travis, his wife and 6 children live in Nevillewood.

Our day will conclude with a cocktail party ideal for meeting industry colleagues.
